Katherine Levine-Koller
Senior Philanthropy Specialist
Hello! I’m Katherine—an impactful nonprofit leader with nearly a decade of experience in raising philanthropic contributions for organizations doing good work in the world. I bring a robust fundraising toolkit that includes individual and major gifts, institutional fundraising, corporate giving, legacy gifts, capital campaigns, board development, and communications. I especially love the building phase: solving complex challenges, designing effective systems, and equipping teams for long-term success.
My passion for international human rights, health equity, and gender justice has shaped my entire career. While studying global development and living with families in Ecuador, China, India, and South Africa, I witnessed the profound effects of systemic inequities in education and health. Determined to make a difference at home, I began teaching sexual and mental health education in under-resourced Chicago public schools with Peer Health Exchange. That experience grew into six years on the organization’s fundraising team, culminating in my role as Regional Director, Midwest. Most recently, I served as Director of Philanthropy for an organization serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities where I secured transformative support and was a key member of the leadership team.
I hold a Bachelors in Communications from Northwestern University, where I studied Theatre with a concentration in Performance, Activism, and Human Rights, and minored in Creative Nonfiction Writing. Storytelling is my throughline. It’s how I connect donors to mission-driven work and inspire lasting change. I hope to partner with you to build a more just and equitable world!
